Arthritis Treatment*

Usually assocaited with ageing, Arthritis is a painful experience that sometimes could even restrict free movement. The most common sign of arthritis is the pain involving the joints. Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid arthritis are two most prevelant form of arthritis. Osteoarthritis is the normal wear and tear of tissues and is the most common form of arthritis. If you have a family history, the chances of OA are higher.

Rhuematoid arthritis occurs when the immune system attacks the tissues. It may eventually result in destruction of the bone and cartilage inside the joint.

Arthritis generally develops over time and is common in adults than in young. A timely intervention will minimise the damage to the joints. According to Ayurveda, pains are mostly when vata is aggravated. When Ama (endotoxins) get accumulated and vata is aggravated, the condition leads to Arthritis.

In Ayurvedic treatment, herbal remedies are given to reduce the indigestion and a presecribed diet need to be followed. Siddha system of medicine prescribes medicines according to the age, condition and mental state of the patient.
